Elephant Orphanage, Nairobi
Only 7km south of the city, Kenya's new conservation based recreation facility is a combination of skilled and creative landscape design, unique wildlife species and detailed interpretation.

The Nairobi Safari Walk is an eye opener to Kenya's Parks and Reserves. It offers you an opportunity to learn what to expect across the country. Introductory talks on Kenya's parks and reserves can be arranged for you by the naturalists. You will have a taste of Kenya's rich Animal collection including the rare bongo, white rhino, albino zebra, a collection of big cats, antelopes and primates. Also home to a collection of about 150 species of local trees, you will learn their varied traditional uses.

Following approximately 2 hours of your guided walking safari you are transferred to the Elephant Orphanage, which takes in orphaned baby elephants from all over Kenya and raises them together until they are old enough to survive on their own.

See the young elephants play ball, eat, take mud baths, and interact with their keepers. These babies brush up against the rope so you are very close. You might even find yourself crying at the realisation of the 'humanness' of these amazing creatures. If you were not an admirer of elephant culture before, you will be after a visit to this orphanage.

In addition to the elephants you are likely to see baboons and wild boar at close quarters with the chance to feed the baby elephants.

Departure times are at your convenience however, we would recommend 8am as we are offering a 15% discount on our world famous Carnivores Restaurant “all you can eat” meal when combined with this Safari.

Price includes return transfers to your hotel, park fees, driver/guide & bottled water whilst on safari.
